Hydro-Québec, Sept-Îles — outdoor storage of heavy equipment

A large storage yard for heavy equipment was built over soft subgrade with Typar geotextile as a separation and stabilisation layer. The fabric keeps the granular base out of the soil, reduces the thickness of stone required and prevents rutting under repeated heavy loads.
