TYPAR Geocells are a cellular confinement system built from time-proven TYPAR geotextile fabric formed into a honeycomb structure. Folded accordion-style for transport, a unit is expanded on site and filled with sand, stone, soil, mulch or any available ballast.
The three-dimensional design adapts to almost any terrain, allows custom sizes and configurations, and can be re-vegetated afterwards. Units interlock solidly without complicated joints, and can be stacked to build self-supporting vertical or setback walls. No special training is required.

Applications
- Flood control and emergency barriers
- Earth reinforcement and retaining structures
- Ground stabilisation and load support
- Drainage, erosion and sediment control
Evaluated by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers for flood control — and proven in the field during the Kentucky 2011 floods.
